Oasis lead singer involved in child custody dispute

Illinois residents may be interested to know that a child custody dispute between the lead singer of Oasis, Liam Gallager, and the mother of his 17-month-old baby may be coming to a close. The singer and the mother of his baby girl have been embroiled in a custody dispute over their son in an out-of-state Supreme Court case. Reports indicate that tensions were high during recent court proceedings over the child support arrangements and custody of daughter.

The Supreme Court justice who decided the case ordered the Oasis front man that he must continue meeting his temporary child support obligation for three more weeks while both sides of the dispute work out a deal. The justice said that she felt the mother and father had engaged in discussions that could come to conclusion with a settlement agreement. A confidentiality agreement prevents the parties from revealing how much the singer is paying the mother of his child.

The rocker and the mother of his child began their relationship after the woman published an article about him. However, the relationship allegedly fell apart after the mother filed a $3 million child support lawsuit against the rock star in 2013. The singer has a total of four children, which were had by four different women.

A child support and/or child custody dispute in Illinois can result in heated disagreements between mothers and fathers. However, through mediation and, if necessary, court litigation, such disputes can be resolved in a way that supports the best interest of all parties involved. Fortunately, courts tend to view the best interest of the child as the most important element in such disputes. As such, parents embroiled in child custody disputes may strive to show how their intended outcome in the case is indeed going to serve the child in the best fashion possible.
