Bengals defensive tackle accused of not paying child support

Devon Still, a defensive tackle for the Bengals, has been accused of not paying his daughter's child support. According to the mother of his daughter, the football player has not paid any support for his child since August 2014. Even worse, his daughter has been battling cancer.

The football player made a public statement recently, which was released by his team. He said that he did not want this child support dispute to affect the inspirational affect his daughter's cancer battle has had on numerous people throughout the world. He said that he wants his daughter to look back at this moment in her life one day and see what a positive affect she had on the world. He did not want this time to focus on private issues that her parents are currently going through. The man also said that he refused to retaliate against his daughter's mother nor would he be criticizing her character.

So far, over $1.3 million has been raised by Still for children's cancer research by selling his Bengal's jersey. According to the coach of the Bengals, the team is not fully informed about all the facts of the child custody disputes, but they are confident in their defensive tackle and the things he has done.

According to the Bengals' coach, Still has served as a beacon for many people. He said that Still will continue to set a good example for other young National Football League players as they face their own trials and tribulations. The coach said that people do not understand what NFL players have to go through with the pressures of performing and playing.

Child support disputes can be difficult emotionally, financially and legally -- and sometimes, they seem like they will drag on forever without agreement. However, when a dispute cannot be resolved out of court, individuals can rest assured that it will eventually be resolved at trial. For this reason, Illinois residents who are headed for child custody court proceedings will want to have solid legal counsel on their side to defend their rights, and their children's rights, under the law.
